Faith

"We never give up. Our bodies are gradually dying, but we ourselves are being made stronger each day. These little troubles are getting us ready for an eternal glory that will make all our troubles seem like nothing. Things that are seen don't last forever, but things that are not seen are eternal. That's why we keep our minds on the things that cannot be seen." -2 Corinthians 4:16-18

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” -Hebrews 11:6

"Unless you are faithful in small matters, you won't be faithful in large ones." -Luke 16:10

"God is real, no matter how I feel." -Rick Warren

“Never doubt in the dark what God told you in the light.” -V. Raymond Edman

"God is like the wind, you can't really see him, but you can feel he's there." -Anonymous

"When you have come to the edge of all light that you know and are about to drop off into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing one of two things will happen: there will be something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly."
-Patrick Overton

"
Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe." -St. Augustine

"
The thing with God is that when you lose all faith, he doesn't force himself back upon you, but he lets you know he's always there with open arms when you're ready to return." -christiangirlnz

"God is not a belief to which you give your assent. God becomes a reality whom you know intimately, meet everyday, one whose strength becomes your strength, whose love, your love. Live this life of the presence of God long enough and when someone asks you, “Do you believe there is a God?” you may find yourself answering, “No, I do not believe there is a God. I know there is a God." -Anonymous

"In faith there is enough light for those who want to believe and enough shadows to blind those who don't." -via Errol Tangco

Doubt sees the obstacles
Faith sees the way;
Doubt sees the blackest night
Faith sees the day;
Doubts dreads to take a step
Faith soars on high;
Doubt questions, “Who believes?”
Faith answers, “I”

"Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls." -1 Peter 1:8-9

"I'm choosing to see past my emotion. I'm choosing to just ..stop trying to figure things out. I realize that sometimes, things just aren't meant to make sense; that faith isn't meant to be dissected or prodded -- but rather to remain unquestioned." -Marvin Diaz

"For those who do not believe, no explanation is possible. For those who believe, no explanation is necessary." -Grace Alonsabe

"The African Impala (an African antelope) are amazing creatures that can jump to a height of over 10 feet and cover a distance greater than 30 feet. Yet Impalas can be kept in a zoo inside an enclosure with a simple 3 foot wall. Why? Impalas will not jump if they can’t see where their feet will land. Do we have something in common with these antelopes? Able to take great leaps of faith, but refusing to do it unless we can see where we’ll land? George Mueller said of faith, “Faith does not operate in the realm of the possible. There is no glory for God in that which is humanly possible. Faith begins where man’s power ends.”
In Biblical terms: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
True faith cannot see how the landing will occur…it simply leaps under the conviction that it WILL occur. Remember, Biblical faith begins where our power ends!" -man-of-god

"The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you." -Luke 17:5-6

"Faith is not the belief that God will do what you want. It is the belief that God will do what is right." -Anonymous

"I believe in the sun even if it isn't shining. I believe in love even when I am alone. I believe in God even when He is silent." -Unknown

“Certainly, other people can pray for you, they can believe for you, they can quote the scripture to you, but you must exercise faith for yourself. If you are always depending on somebody else to keep you happy, somebody else to encourage you or to get you out of trouble, you will live in perpetual weakness and disappointment. You must make a decision that you are going to be a believer. Take charge of your life and decide, “No matter what comes against me, I believe in God. I’m going to have a positive outlook for my life! Other people’s faith can indeed bolster yours. But your own faith will bring you a miracle much faster than anybody else’s. What you believe has a much greater impact on your life than what anybody else believes.” -Joel Osteen

"A strong faith must endure tests. A living faith must always grow. Our faith in Jesus Christ, to be such, must frequently face others’ lack of faith." -Pope Benedict XVI
