Worth

"A single thread in a tapestry
Through its color brightly shine
Can never see its purpose
In the pattern of the grand design

And the stone that sits on the very top
Of the mountain’s mighty face
Does it think it’s more important
Than the stones that form the base?

So how can you see what your life is worth
Or where your value lies?
You can never see through the eyes of man
You must look at your life

Look at your life through heaven’s eyes
Lai-la-lai…

A lake of gold in the desert sand
Is less than a cool fresh spring
And to one lost sheep, a shepherd boy
Is greater than the richest king
If a man lose ev’rything he owns
Has he truly lost his worth?
Or is it the beginning
Of a new and brighter birth?

So how do you measure the worth of a man
In wealth or strength or size?
In how much he gained or how much he gave?
The answer will come
The answer will come to him who tries
To look at his life through heaven’s eyes

And that’s why we share all we have with you
Though there’s little to be found
When all you’ve got is nothing
There’s a lot to go around

No life can escape being blown about
By the winds of change and chance
And though you never know all the steps
You must learn to join the dance
You must learn to join the dance
Lai-la-lai…

So how do you judge what a man is worth
By what he builds or buys?
You can never see with your eyes on earth
Look through heaven’s eyes
Look at your life
Look at your life
Look at your life through heaven’s eyes" -Prince of Egypt, Through Heaven's Eyes

Thanksgiving

"I don’t have all the fancy clothes/shoes/other material things I’d like to have. I don’t have that movie star beauty. I don’t have a mansion. Nor do I have a crazy rich significant other. I don’t wake up looking like a super model. I don’t have a perfect life. My family doesn’t have it all together 24/7. I don’t have some amazing incredible talent. I don’t have a million friends and i’m not the most popular person.

BUT, you know what else I don’t have?

I don’t have cancer. I don’t have diabetes. I don’t live on the streets. I don’t have an STD or any sort of horrible disease. I don’t have an abusive father or an absentee mother. I don’t suffer from any form of addiction. Nor do I have a mental illness. I don’t have a tumor. I don’t suffer from depression. I don’t have a disability. I don’t have to sell my body to support myself. I don’t feel the need to hurt myself. I don’t have to go to bed hungry. I don’t feel alone because I know that God is always with me.

When I really stop to think about it, I have so so much to be thankful for. Jesus, Thank you for everything you’ve blessed me with and thank you for your love it brings me the greatest joy.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Jesus♥" -nonelikejesus

For with this day I’ll be a step closer to being able to fulfill your plans for me."

"You have a ticket to heaven no thief can take, an eternal home no divorce can break. Every sin of your life has been cast to the sea. Every mistake you've made is nailed to the tree. Freedom

"You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love." -Galatians 5:13

"
i believe that the FREEDOM the Lord gave us and was sealed by His blood was for us to be saved from sin, be saved from bondage of it. that is indeed the best gift the Lord has ever gave us— FREEDOM AND FORGIVENESS. now we are free to do whatever we like and whatever we want. but most of the time, we forget that freedom entails so much responsibility. and that the freedom the Lord gave is the freedom to do HIS will the best way we can. the freedom to do good with our lives and to pass it on and to make the lives of others free as well by loving them, caring for them and letting them experience that freedom as well.

WE ARE FREE! WE ARE FREE TO DO WHAT PLEASES THE LORD and JUST AS LONG AS IT PLEASES THE LORD.

that’s what FREEDOM is. so the next time you choose to do something because you are free to do it, make sure it makes your spirit free and make sure it pleases the LORD— the ultimate giver of freedom." -YFC

“Once you master the rules, you can be free.”

Everything

“Lord, it’s hard to know You. I don’t always see your plan But holiness is calling me so take me as I am. You are my everything, you are the song I sing; I’ll do anything for you. Teach me how to pray, to live a life of grace; I’ll go anywhere with you. Jesus, be my everything. Lord, I get so tired of the struggle within. I settle in complacency and I’m weighed down in my sin. So lead me past emotion, ‘cause they changed with the wind I want to be a true disciple to daily choose Your hand.” -Anonymous

Thoughts

"We all have a choice: we can let our own thoughts consume us, or we can allow something greater to." -Christian Marquez

"
A big chunk of the enemy’s warfare takes place in my mind.

Isolation, insecurity, distraction, worry, fear.

He creeps in from all angles whenever he can to try and destroy the seeds God is planting in my life.

Being an only child and an artist gives me plenty of time to myself—not even necessarily physically, but mentally (especially with my art). This is a wonderful thing: it enables me to produce the work I do. However, the enemy is very skilled at taking good things and twisting them. He takes my thoughts and warps them, as long as I let him.

Today I say no. Today I surrender my thoughts captive to Jesus. Today I refuse to be weighed down by chains I was never meant for. Today I die to myself and live in Christ. Today is the day! Today is always the day." -adarkhorse

History

"...is His story." -Rick Warren

Trouble

"Lord, i know you will never stop being merciful to me. Your love and loyalty will always keep me safe.

I am surrounded by many troubles- too many to count. My sins have caught up with me, they are more than the hairs of my head, and i have lost my courage.

Save me, Lord! Help me now!

May those who try to kill me be completely defeated and confused. May those who are happy because of my troubles be turned back and disgraced.

May those who make fun of me be dismayed by their defeat.

May all who come to you be glad and joyful." -Psalm 40:11-16

"You'll never know that God is all you need until God is all you've got."

"Only in heaven is everything done perfectly the way God intends. That is why we are told to pray, 'Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.'"

"We make mistakes, but God never does. God cannot make a mistake—because He is God."

"To bake a cake you must use flour, salt, raw eggs, sugar and oil. Eaten individually, each is pretty distasteful or even bitter. But bake them together and they become delicious. If you will give God all your distasteful, unpleasant experiences, He will blend them together for good."

"What happens outwardly in your life is not as important as what happens inside you. Your circumstances are temporary, but your character will last forever."

"Problems don't automatically produce what God intends. Many people become bitter, rather than better, and never grow up. You have to respond the way Jesus would."

-Rick Warren

Sometimes, God breaks our spirit to save our soul. He breaks our heart to make us whole. He sends us pain so we can be stronger. He sends us failure so we can be humble. He sends us illness so we can better take care of ourselves.Sometimes, God takes everything away from us so we can learn the value of everything He gave us. -Anonymous

Evangelism

“But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them." -Luke 6:32

"
Pray for your flock. Always lead others with love. You may be the only Bible they’ll ever read. You may be the only Church they’ll ever enter. You may be the only Christ that some of them will ever meet.” -Father Larre

"Preach the gospel always; if necessary, use words." -St. Francis of Assisi

Needs and Wants.

"As David did with his psalms, use prayer to ventilate vertically. Tell God your frustrations. Cry out to Him. He’s never surprised or upset by your anger, hurt, insecurity, or any other emotions. So tell him exactly how you feel.

Most conflict is rooted in unmet needs. Some of these needs can only be met by God. When you expect anyone—a friend, spouse, boss, or family member—to meet a need that only God can fulfill, you are setting yourself up for disappointment and bitterness. No one can meet all of your needs except God.

The apostle James noted that many of our conflicts are caused by prayerlessness: 'What causes fights and quarrels among you? … You want something but don’t get it … You do not have, because you do not ask God.' (James 4:1-2) Instead of looking to God, we look to others to make us happy and then get angry when they fail us. God says, 'Why don’t you come to Me first?'"
